It is easy to forget what women will do when abortion is illegal if you have not had to experience it. Everyone who is young enough not to remember this time should have to watch this (or a similar) documentary. There is a little religion thrown in there too.
Oh, so I see. Adoption is just so tricky, so we’ll just kill of our new unborn generations instead. Sounds like a plan.
Seriously, what the hell.
I mean, do you guys even know what happens to these kids? As soon as a woman is pregnant, she is carrying a BABY. I don’t care what you think. She has a baby, and that baby can go on and so many amazing things.
But no, maybe she can’t take care of it, you know what, maybe not. Maybe she’ll die if she doesn’t get an abortion, well, then it’s her choice. It’s controversial then and I really don’t wanna get into that.
But if she can’t take care of it, or if she just doesn’t want it, why not give someone a chance? Isn’t that what tumblr is about? Second chances? What do you people even freaking blog about all day, peace and chances and unpopular opinions. Well, here’s mine.
If you’re pregnant and you don’t want your kid, just tough it out, come on. People who get abortions, i mean, is that you? Are you that important that you decide who gets to live their lives and who doesn’t?
Use your brains. I almost had faith in the people of this website.

Uhhh… adoption is not “just so tricky.” Being pregnant is basically awful. I will defer to whatisanipomoea’s post on this topic. Basically, going through pregnancy is KIND OF A BIG DEAL. What if you don’t have health insurance? What if you can’t take time off work to have the baby/recover? What if you don’t have transportation to get to the doctor? PREGNANCY IS NOT EASY. BIRTH IS NOT EASY.
And, you know, it’s NOT A BABY as soon as it’s conceived. Ugh. So much wrong with this. And nice job trying to be like “Tumblr I thought you were better than this!”
yes, birth control is wrong by the pro-life standards. i’m not on birth control.

I’m going to be going int my school’s mandatory religion class next semester.
According to my friends in the class this semester, the end of the course is straight brainwashing. They brought in a pro-life group to talk to the class and it made a few of my friends cry because of the images they were showing.
I feel like I need to be prepared better in this debate. Regrettably, I do not know very much about this issue.
So if any one of my followers is able to give me a few quick tips when these discussions come up, I would GREATLY appreciate it.

I haven’t heard such absolute bullshit in a VERY long time. We had a presentation from the Manitoba Foundation for Life or some shit.
The presentation was exactly what I expected, incredibly slanted statistics, arguments from emotional standpoits (But the baby has a HEARTBEAT!).
Afterwards, she took questions. Someone in my class asked about Planned Parenthood.
The lady talking said that Planned Parenthood has a plan, and that plan is to get every girl between 13 and 18 to have 3-4 abortions before they are 18.
I managed to contain myself the whole presentation, but that part really pissed me off. I remember quite vividly when that was being trotted around online, and as far as I know, it has been shown to be a total sham.
I tried to point out that abortions account for a very small percentage of services provided by Planned Parenthood, and she appeared to simply ignore me.
Then I was given a book on how porn rewires my brain (did you know that if you watch porn, you need erotic images to get it up? Your wife/girlfriend/boyfriend/husband can’t arouse you if you look at porn).
Then ANOTHER section said how people who abstain from sex are the smart ones in society.
Sorry, I have a 128 IQ, which as I understand is above the average. I’m an honor roll student. Sorry if this sounds arrogant, but I am quite smart if I say so myself.
FUCK I needed to get that off my chest. I’ll go through the books and post what they say later if I feel like looking at them again.
